In 1970, an enterprising young woman saw an opportunity to fill a vacant niche in Jamaica that would supply established companies (local and abroad) with qualified and competent staff. As Recruitment Officer of an American owned fertilizer manufacturing company, she from time to time experienced difficulty in recruiting suitable candidates to fill vacancies which became available within the organization.

Jamaica’s economy was then vibrant, and the job market lucrative. She made a bold step, resigned her job and started Placement and Business Services Ltd. The company became an instant success as businesses embraced the opportunity to delegate the hassle and time consuming task of staff recruitment. As an alternative they outsourced to our company of proven professionals.
