Oberlin High School

Oberlin has a proud history of producing well rounded individuals who have excelled in the academics as well as in co-curricular activities.

At Oberlin High School students are given the opportunity to achieve their fullest potential. They are guided by Christian principles and are encouraged to achieve excellence in an environment that is naturally beautiful, caring and accepting of diversity. The staff, team of teachers, administrators and auxiliary workers are diligent and committed to ensuring that the vision and mission are accomplished.

This team is trained and focused on helping students to develop certain core values. These values include respect for God, respect for time, truth, honesty, justice and a love for a clean healthy environment.

Each student is encouraged to achieve academic excellence ,as well as, excellence in technical and vocational subjects. It is the development of a combination of the academics, the technical/vocational skills and these core values in students that will enable them to become productive members of the society ;thus, helping to make Jamaica a better place to live, work and raise families.

I therefore, invite all stakeholders-students, parents, past students, the community of Lawrence Tavern and its environs to assist in enabling Oberlin High School to continue on the path of excellence .
