Active Traders Ltd. - Kingston

Active Home Centre is a company driven by growth and passion in order to help each and every customer find the perfect finish for their home. Active Home Centre started out small, but with determination, the company grew to where it is today.

Active Traders Limited opened its doors in 1995. The company started its operations at Skibo Avenue in Kingston as a wholesale distributor of wood windows and doors, selling directly to hardware stores.

The onset of tiling trends shortly thereafter presented the opportunity to reach consumers directly in the local market.

In 1997, the company changed its business model and ventured into selling direct to consumers by opening the company’s first retail showroom (as well as a larger warehouse facility) in Marketplace (formerly the

Challenge Centre). To meet growing demand, Active Traders began offering ceramic and porcelain tiles and all related items (i.e. thinset, grout and sealers) as well as bathroom fixtures to consumers.

A few years following this, in 2003, the company grew even further and sought to find a retail space to match our expanding needs. This led us to Dunrobin Avenue where we added granite, other high quality stones and more to our product line.
