Reporting to the Managing Director, the incumbent will beresponsible for a) growing the companys business of deliveringa safe, clean, courteous and reliable public transport servicethat meets the requirements of commuters within the KMTR, b)maintaining optimal levels of operational efficiency, productivityand cost-effectiveness in the utilization of all availableresources, c) participating in the design of programmes toreinforce the Companys mission, values, and customer charterin the attitudes and behaviour of all employees in the OperationsDivision, and ensuring effective programme implementation,d) Planning and instituting measures to promote ridership andimprove passenger waiting and arrival time and the generalquality of service offered

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS EXPERIENCE:
Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering/OperationsManagement or equivalent qualification
Ten (10) years experience in operations managementincluding planning/scheduling with at least five (5) yearsexperience at a senior level in the mass transportationindustry.
Demonstrated innovative leadership and motivating skills atthe management level within a complex organisation.
Well-developed human relations and negotiating skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
