• To ensure that healthy, nutritional meals are adequately provided for your children.

Responsibilities

• To clean and sanitize tables, shelves stoves and all canteen areas on a daily basis before and after preparing meals.
• Keep food covered at all times.
• Ensure that food is stored appropriately.
• Use gloves when necessary in the canteen.
• Store all garbage in bags for easy disposal.
• Appropriately discard of garbage on a daily basis.
• Keep hair covered by wearing appropriate hair net.
• Wear appropriate closed toes footwear.
• Prepare meals on a daily basis.
• Prepare and share lunches on time.
• Minimize wastage of food.
• Sanitize utensils before and after usage.
• Adhere to proper food handling practices.
• Perform any other duties assigned.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION ASSOCIATED WITH THE JOB

• Valid Food Handlers Permit
• Police Record

Skills
Sound knowledge of health and safety procedures
Ability to work as a part of a team
Good language and sanitation practice
Kitchen equipment knowledge and use
Read, write and communicate Basic English
Able to follow oral and written instructions
