Job Presentation
  • Receiving instructions and specifications from the Operation Manager in relation to the issuing of goods, and the Procurement Manager in relation to the receipt of goods.


Responsibilities
  • To receive, store, and to issue equipment, material, supplies, food items and to compile stock records.
  • To count, sort and weigh incoming items to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices.
  • To examine stock to verify conformance to specifications.
  • To label goods by placing identifying codes on articles using labeling equipment.
  • To ensure that items are adequately stored in bins or on shelves according to identifying information such as style, type or size.
  • To ensure adequate levels of stock in stores to carry out daily operation
  • To compile reports on the use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory, counts and stock records, spoilage of, or damage to stock and location changes.
  • To ensure that requisitioned orders are filled.
  • To take the necessary precautions in the loading and unloading of goods and/or equipment.
  • To ensure that all requests which are filled and recorded in the stores Issue Book and are received and signed for by the Supervisor.
  • At the hospital the breakfast request should be completed, the lunch and supper dry, paper n packaging and sanitation items issued overnight, and the protein for lunch and supper pulled and held in the stores holding chiller for issuing on the following day, lunch protein at 7:30am, and supper protein at 12noon. (KPH only).
  • To edit and copy transfer document to ensure accountability.
  • To ensure that all fruits and Vegetable and Meats are process timely to meet production requirement and quality sheets completed.
  • Ensure temperature log is completed daily at 7am, 12pm, and closing.
  • Provide daily feedback on operation.
  • Liaise with Dietitian and Sous Chef daily as it related to items for two days advance menu.
  • To attend all training courses mandated by the Company.
  • To ensure the performance of any other duty which may be assigned?
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
  • Reports directly to the Operation Manager
  • Indirectly to the Sous Chef, Dietitian and Procurement Manager.
SAFETY AND SECURITY
  • To adhere to all safety and security regulation specified by the management of Caterer in Motion and the Location of operation.
  • To report any breach of security to the management of the company immediately.
  • To take necessary precautions to ensure the safety and security of fellow employees, suppliers and also company equipment.
  • To immediately report any accident which occurs during the course of duty, and to complete the required documentation?
DEGREE OF AUTHORITY
  • May make limited decisions with respect to job functions.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
  • The incumbent is required to work in hot and cold areas throughout the course of any given day.
CONTACTS
  • Internally with: Sous Chef, Managers, and Supervisor and fellow employees.
  • Externally with: Location Personnel, security officers and Company suppliers

Knowledge of Food Safety and Hygiene requirements
