Responsibilities

• Drives mortuary vehicles, like hearses and limousines.
• Drives hearse to transport bodies to mortuary for embalming from mortuary to place of funeral service or interment.
• Helps Pallbearers to move caskets from mortuary into hearse from hearse to destination.
• Drives limousine in funeral procession, following a prearranged schedule, to transport mourners.
• Assists passengers entering or leaving limousines.
• May clean vehicles prior to funeral.
• Storing funeral equipment after services are complete.
• Close caskets at appropriate points in services.
• Liaise with clergy, family members, visitors and families.
• Act as pallbearers
• Must report to the Fleet Manager.
• Not limited to the functions and responsibilities of the above. 

Skills
Sound knowledge of road safety regulations
Working knowledge of local roads and routes
Effective communication skills
Punctual and reliable
