Job Presentation
  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Credit and Collection Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in credit analysis, collections, and customer service. The Credit and Collection Specialist will be responsible for managing the company's credit and collections process to ensure timely payments and minimize bad debt risk. 


Responsibilities
  • Evaluate creditworthiness of new and existing customers by analyzing financial information, credit reports, and payment histories.
  • Establish and monitor credit limits and terms for customers in accordance with company policies.
  • Communicate credit terms and conditions to customers and sales team.
  • Review and approve credit applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Proactively contact customers to collect outstanding debts and resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements and settlements with delinquent customers.
  • Investigate and resolve billing disputes and discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and payment status.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging report and take appropriate actions to minimize overdue accounts.
  • Collaborate with sales, customer service, and other departments to address customer concerns and improve collections processes.
  • Prepare monthly reports on accounts receivable aging, bad debt reserves, and collection activities.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in credit and collections management.


Skills
Strong understanding of credit analysis techniques, and credit risk assessment
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
